AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate

AZ-104 is a certification exam designed for individuals who manage cloud services on the Microsoft Azure platform.  As a professional I have experienced in working and access to large infra structure with annual subscription cost of over few million dollars per annum.  Managing and working in large infrastructure allows you to identify challenges that faced by enterprise while balancing cost and compliance. 

If you are profession requires comprehensive knowledge in Azure cloud AZ-104 certification is a one of certification you need to target.

Before I started doing the certification I asked myself why I am learning this? Remember if you love it you will do it.

First 1: Professional interest

As a Software Architectural Consultant, I should have a comprehensive knowledge needed to guide and review cloud solutions for many projects. My knowledge and consultancy create an impact on the organization in terms of adhering to best practices while optimizing costs. Therefore, I need to have expert-level knowledge in cloud services. Having a certification is a tangible source of my credibility. I also accept the fact that preparing for a certification is an effective learning method.

Personal interest 2:

As a Software Engineer and a Solution Architect I personally admired the capability of cloud platforms and the opportunity that it has created for anyone to access to the top of the nodge technological capabilities in an affordable cost and growth the the business. Personally I would like to create a platform aligned with my 2020 goal. Which can benefit millions. Who knows this dream would be a reality one day.

My learning strategy is not just pass the exam and add another certification to my profile.

Know you’re goal :

First I wanted to know the syllabus the coverage of AZ-104.  Then wanted to try and smell one exam to understand the expected knowledge required to pass the exam.

Syllabus

Key Areas Covered in the Exam:

• Identity and Governance: Managing users, groups, roles, and Azure Active Directory.
• Compute: Deploying and managing virtual machines, virtual machine scale sets, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Storage: Implementing and managing storage accounts, blobs, files, disks, and data lifecycle management.
• Networking: Configuring and managing virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and load balancers.
• Monitoring and Backup: Implementing monitoring solutions and backup strategies for Azure resources.
  Prerequisites:
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts
• Some experience with Azure or other cloud platforms is beneficial, but not required

• Microsoft Learn: Explore the official Microsoft Learn modules and training paths for AZ-104.
• Practice Exams: Utilize practice exams from reputable providers to assess your knowledge and identify areas for improvement.
